This 2-day workshop focuses on an introduction to sensory processing, and builds upon the introduction to sensory modulation, polyvagal theory, trauma and attachment informed care provided in course 1. Attendees of this course must have a solid working knowledge of sensory modulation, as it will not be covered in this workshop, rather a deeper exploration into sensory discrimination and motor-based concepts is the focus. Participants will engage in sensory processing, trauma, and attachment-related assessment, and treatment planning exercises at an intermediate level. Learning activities include a combination of lecture, interactive lab, and clinical case exploration. Participants will leave with a variety of practical ideas and resources for individual and programmatic applications. Applications for working with child, adolescent, and adult populations are explored.
